Crain 714 #14 Thimble

The No. 714 is an English #14 size large open-end sewing thimble. This size is suitable for use on a large-sized finger. These thimbles have several features that make them useful for carpet sewing purposes. The outer surface includes a coarse grate for pushing a needle point. The open end helps the thimble stay on and exposes the fingertip for gripping and other purposes. Formed from brass, and nickel-plated.
