This thread is three ply waxed 100% polyester hand stitching thread that is wound on a plastic bobbin. The wax coating helps the thread pass smoothly through the carpet that is being sewn. The color is natural (beige) which normally is similar to the color of the carpet's backing. Polyester thread is economical, but it may stretch more in comparison to our linen thread (No. 771). For this reason, it may show more of the seam when used for carpet seaming purposes.
