The No. 499 fixed head stretcher comes with a push-button locking power handle, Auto-Lok tube, 3 extension tube sections, 1 transfer tube section, folding tail block, and separate head and tube cases. The Auto-Lok tube provides fast length adjustments in flexible increments. The tubes adjust from 37 inches to 23 feet, and can be lengthened with additional extension tubes (No. 502). The folding tail block allows you to stretch off walls, corners, or posts. The pin depth adjusting knob on the driving head provides variable pin depth settings, without the screws or screwdrivers found on other stretchers. Model No. 499 comes with separate head and tube cases that distribute the weight and provide room for additional components. The head case has built-in wheels, and the tube case hooks on for transport

The No. 499E includes head and tube cases only. The head case includes wheels, and the tube case hooks on the head case for easy transport of both cases. The cases split to distribute the weight when carrying is necessary, or for loading into the van. These cases hold the driving head, tail block, transfer tube, Auto-Lok tube, and up to 7 additional extension tubes. Also holds Roberts 10-239. Made from tough, double-wall, high-density blow-molded plastic. Recessed latches and handles improve durability.

Crain 499E Empty Case For 499

The cotton grip head for our No. 499 and 500 Power Stretchers is recommended when stretching Berber carpets, loop pile carpets, and other low-level commercial carpets. The wire nap grips of this head are less likely to pull or snag loops or yarns that are easily damaged by the standard stretcher pin plate. Nap grips are replaceable.
