The ultra-low profile and narrow handle of this iron make it easier to bring the seam together near the back of the iron. Dual indicator lights show both power-on and heating status. Cord life is improved with the rotating cord assembly with flexible strain relief which extends the cord out of the seam area. The heavy-duty handle and riveted tray are highly durable. The back tip of the base is grooved to comb adhesive to the wall as the iron is angled out. This prevents "dragging-off" of adhesive which can cause failure. This interchangeable Metal Mitre die set only has an extra-thick .135" punch for mitering corner shapes in heavier cap metals, such as carpet cap or wall board cap. This ultra-straight spring steel row finder has smooth, rounded notches that opens rows of difficult carpets. The pointed ends can easily enter the rows of dense cut pile or plush carpets. The taller, thicker profile clears thick cut pile tufting and increases separation. Once this tool finds a row, it can be moved back and forth in a sawing action to open the row.
